Short description

From the hut you descend eastwards along the well marked trail down to the small flat patch of ice and then accross the boulders on the other side. White-red-white marks will lead you to the left side of the ›Val Cavardiras‹, where you reach green meadows at approximately 2360m. Follow the trail to the so-called ›Strahlerhüttli‹ at P 2123 and down a short steep descend to the ›Alp Cavrein Sura‹. Further down to ›Alp Cavrein Sut‹ at P 1540 and on a narrow road to the ›Barcuns‹ reservoir. When the pressure-pipes become visible the trail turns towards Sumvitg-Cumpadials. Through the forest and the meadows you reach Cumpadials and the railway station Sumvitg-Cumpadials. There, in the restaurant ›Staziun‹ the friendly owners will attend to any needs of a thirsty and hungry hiker.

Short descrription

From the hut you’ll first go in southwestern direction to P 2619. A tall ›stoneman‹ indicates the entrance to the marked trail down into the Brunnital. You steep down through rocky slopes (secured) and partly through snowfields and boulders to P 2483 and onwards to the floor of the valley. At ›Brunnistafel‹ a bridge leads to the left side of the brook. Shortly afterwards you will reach the ›Brunniboden‹, a beautiful alluvial basin. Passing a foaming waterfall and going along the wild waters of the Brunnibach you’ll arrive in ›Hinterbalm‹, a small localisation of huts where the family Jauch will attend and entertain you in a most friendly way. After this break you can follow the new trail down to ›Blindensee‹ where your trail meets the one coming from the ›Hüfihütte‹. A broader trail now leads down through the romantic Maderanertal to Bristen.
